Laura Scott: Credentials and Experience

My natural style is to be open hearted, with warmth and a smile. I create an accepting and non-judgmental space in my sessions, so that you can feel understood and comfortable to explore what’s going on for you.

I trained as a relationships counsellor in Scotland and subsequently moved to Surrey where, since 2018, I have worked with couples and individuals within Relate and privately. Prior to counselling, my career in the law in Edinburgh included mentoring and coaching as well as involvement with LawCare. LawCare is a charity devoted to good mental health within the legal profession.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to their ethical and professional standards. I also hold a diploma qualification in the provision of therapy by online means, recognised by the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) and I adhere to their professional standards for the provision of online therapy.

I hold an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision and as a couples’ counsellor, I offer both online and in-person supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors working with adult clients, whether individuals or couples.
